Sock Problems

I had to frog my entire second sock last night...it was sad. I had that thing on my needles for two months and I finally was able to work on it and what do I do? In the words of Knitty D and the City--it was FAST and WRONG! I was on a roll and thought I was going to cast off by this weekend until I noticed last night that my heel was a bit short--not a bit, a lot short. After checking out my pattern, I realized that I only had made the heel flap 1/4" instead of 2 and 1/4" inch--so not cool. I frogged back to the heel and decided to go the whole length since I kinda stink at picking up stitches. Looking on the bright side: I could use the extra practice...

Finished Project !!

Finally finished the Irish Hiking Scarf and in less than a month. No mind that it took at least six hours a week (not including weekends) to complete this project but it's done!!

Also I purchased my supplies for my knitting bag for my HSKS3 partner and also made a couple of extras for her and my football along partner. I'd say more but don't want to ruin the surprise! As soon as I'm sure my swapee's get the packages I'll post pictures.

Stash Purge

Recently I've acquired some serious amounts of acyrilic yarn-like about 50-75 skeins. This is more acyrilic than anyone should have and I want to get rid of it. Most of it is brand new with the label still in good condition. I did the Cubs for Kids project with it (from the Football-along)so I think it would be perfect for charity knitting of this nature. If anyone out there wants a couple of skeins I would be happy to send them along to you for free. Glad to have them go to someone who will use it! Shipping could get a bit expensive if I get a lot of people wanting, so if you feel it in the depths of your heart to send a couple of bucks for shipping costs I'd be most grateful. :)
If you would like a couple of skeins please leave a comment with your email and I'll contact you to get your shipping info.

Cheers!

Comments

Don't know how to respond to comments left by anyone on my post so I'll just do it here (I will get this blog thing down eventually:))

First, Thanks Tia for leaving me some comments--I'm excited to get to know you this month and although I'm not a fan of Halloween, I do love how all of the candy are wrapped individually and then put in monster bags. I bought four bags last year, had 2 trick-or-treaters and had a wonderful November:)

Second, to 'Wings', no I'm not in the irish hiking scarf KAL, I should join it but I'm actually close to being finished. I need to start checking these things before starting a project--great way to meet new people!!

Thanks for all the comments--I'm shocked that anyone is even reading my blog!!

Happy Labor Day
